Solar Flares calmed a bit today as the Outgoing troublemaker moves further away from our side of the Sun. However, we’ve got 3 Sun Spots facing Earth rn that are capable of M Class (orange) and X Class (red) Solar Flares – pic below. So far only two are meeting their potential while the 3rd closest to the center is calming as it approaches the Sun-Earth Line.
.
Our Geomagnetics stayed calm today. We’re still under an HP = 5 (G1) Geomagnetic Storm Watch until 1.00a CDT mainly due to anticipated incoming CMEs. After that NOAA’s expecting our Geomagnetics will be calm again for the next few days.
.
Solar Wind Speed got back into the 400 km/sec range today. It looks like a small CME came through around 11.00a CDT this morning, based on Solar Wind Density. All expectations are that Solar Wind Density will stay in this range, and possibly get into the 500 km/sec range with the CH HSS and CMEs.
.
Electron Saturation dropped below its Alert Threshold last night, and stayed there today. Whether or not it stays there for the next few days is entirely dependent on how the CME vs CH HSS plays out, so we’ll see… Proton Saturation has held at Normal levels, and NOAA’s dropped its 99% chance of S1 Solar Radiation Storms tomorrow to 20%, which means only a little chance of that happening.
