9/14 Recap

Brief Geomagnetic Storms most likely overnight tonight and overnight 9/16-9/17. NOAA’s providing 5% chance HP = 5 (G1) Geomagnetic Storms in middle N. America both nights, and 20% chance HP = 6 (G2) Geomagnetic Storms in the northern U.S. states both nights.
.
CH HSS arrived 9/13 about 8.00a CDT taking Solar Wind Speeds to ~400 km/sec until 3.41p CDT, then Solar Wind Speeds dropped down to comfortable levels until 10.13p CDT this evening. Solar Wind Speed forecasts indicate >400 km/sec Solar Wind Speeds due to incoming CMEs and continued CH HSS.
.
Electron Saturation dropped below its Alert Threshold this evening, but is expected to climb above that line again tomorrow and for the next 3 days.
.
Proton Saturation rose to Moderate levels today, and is expected to drop down to Normal levels over the next few days, but it’s close to its Warning Threshold, so any well-aimed Solar Flares from the Exiting Sun Spots might make it cross above its Warning Threshold.
