8/13 Recap

We had another quiet day today, but that’s expected to change at any minute due to an incoming CH HSS that’s expected to take us into the 400 km/sec range with Solar Wind Speed, and it’s expected to cause brief Geomagnetic Storms. The brunt of its impact is expected to be over tomorrow evening, and we should return to calm Geomagnetics early on 8/15. Solar Wind Speed will take a few days to calm down.

Solar Flares stayed in the B Class range today, and are expected to stay in the B Class range for the next 3 days.

Electron Saturation’s expected to rise above 1K pfu on 8/16 in response to the CH HSS. Proton Saturation should stay below its Alert Threshold.
