7/18 Recap

The small Coronal Hole we talked about a couple days ago has disappeared, but a new, large, transequatorial Coronal Hole’s CH HSS is expected to arrive 7/21-7/22 and it’s expected to take Solar Wind Speeds into the 700 km/sec. Electron Saturation will likely stay above its Alert Threshold for several days after the CH HSS arrives. Geomagnetic Storms are *not* expected with this CH HSS since our Geomagnetics are so calm.

Solar Flares are staying mainly in the B Class range and are expected to continue at that level until the new Sun Spot(s) just to the left of the large Coronal Hole starts tossing Solar Flares.
