It looks like the next few days are gonna be rocky for a lot of people in one way or another. An Earth-facing Sun Spot that’s gained power in the last couple days started tossing M Class Solar Flares today. I’m not seeing any word of CMEs yet, which is good, and it’s not in the Sun-Earth Line yet, which is good, but still, it’s tossing M Class Solar Flares…

Geomagnetics and Solar Wind Speed should be calm tomorrow and early 7/22, but the first part of the CH HSS is expected to arrive mid-morning that day, and take us up to HP = 5 (G1) Geomagnetic Storms in the afternoon through early evening. NOAA’s providing a 30% chance that middle N. America will reach HP = 5 (G1) and 70% chance that the northern U.S. states will reach HP = 6 (G2) Geomagnetic Storm conditions. We should be done with Geomagnetic Storming on 7/23, but our Solar Wind Speeds are predicted to be between 500-800 km/sec until 7/25.

Electron Saturation’s hovering around it’s Alert Threshold and will likely continue to do that for several days. Proton Saturation’s holding steady at Normal levels.
