8/3 Recap

The CME that arrived yesterday was really slow-moving, barely taking us above 400 km/sec, and it began losing strength around 8/3 @ 10.00a CDT when our Solar Wind Speed dropped to ~360 km/sec. It looks like Solar Wind Speed is supposed to stay comfortable for the next 3 days. It looks like a couple CMEs are heading our way, arriving on 8/7. Neither are supposed to wreak much havoc.

Solar Flares are very quiet, mainly staying in the B Class range and NOAA’s indicating we’ll stay in the B- and C-Class range for the next 3 days.

Electron and Proton Saturation are staying below their Alert Thresholds, and should continue to do so for the next 3 days.
