10/14 Recap
![]()
Our Space Weather conditions are relaxing a bit, albeit slowly. Solar Wind Speed’s back down into the 500 km/sec range and slowly dropping, but the CH HSS is expected to keep them at uncomfortable levels for at least 3 more days. Electron Saturation was comfortable today, but should begin crossing its Alert Threshold tomorrow. Our Geomagnetics were very calm, averaging HP = 2.3 and it’s expected to stay calm over the next 3 days.
.
One of the incoming Sun Spots grew substantially over the past couple of days and is currently classified as capable of X Class Solar Flares! It’s currently only tossing C Class Solar Flares, so we’ll keep an eye on that over the next few days. Proton Saturation is at Normal levels and should continue at that level, until the Sun Spots start tossing M+ Class Solar Flares.
