M2.69 Solar Flare from AR4473 – June 20, 2026

Active Region 4473 produced a moderate M2.69 solar flare that peaked at 15:21 UTC today.
This event caused a minor (R1) radio blackout, primarily affecting the sunlit side of Earth. As of now, no significant Earth-directed coronal mass ejection (CME) has been confirmed in association with this flare. Initial observations suggest any ejecta is likely not on a direct path toward Earth.
We will continue monitoring for any updates as the region rotates into a more geoeffective position. Moderate solar flare activity (R1-R2) remains possible in the coming days.
