Coronal holes turning earthward

EARTH’S MAGNETIC FIELD IS ABOUT TO BE PUT TO THE TEST
A massive collection of coronal holes spanning more than 400,000 miles is now lined up with Earth.
As high-speed solar wind streams away from the Sun, conditions are becoming favorable for geomagnetic storms around the world in the days ahead.
These disturbances occur when solar energy interacts with Earth’s magnetic field, sometimes producing auroras and other space weather effects across large portions of the planet.
The setup is now in place.
Now attention turns to Earth’s response.
