M7.0 Solar Flare Erupts From Earth-Facing AR 4513 ☀️ 25 August 2026

A substantial M7.0 solar flare has just erupted from active region AR 4513, currently positioned on the Earth-facing side of the Sun. SolarHam reports signs of coronal dimming following the eruption, raising the possibility that a CME was launched.

The big question now is whether a CME is confirmed and, if so, whether any part of it is directed toward Earth. Coronagraph imagery and modelling will be needed before that can be determined.

AR 4513 remains one of the most active regions currently visible on the Sun. We will keep watch and report if and when needed.
