PROTONS ARE NOW BOMBARDING EARTH

Something powerful from the Sun has now reached Earth.
A stream of high-energy protons is pouring into Earth’s atmosphere after a long-duration solar eruption, triggering an active solar radiation storm.
This isn’t a major event for people on the ground, but it is already strong enough to interfere with radio communications across parts of the Arctic.
The Sun has been unusually active lately… and another wave of space weather is now interacting with Earth’s atmosphere.
