Volcano Alert in Japan

JAPAN RAISES VOLCANO ALERT AS MOUNT ASO SUDDENLY INTENSIFIES
Something is changing beneath one of Japan’s most powerful volcanoes.
Mount Aso has just been raised to Volcanic Alert Level 3 after volcanic tremors intensified and gas emissions surged.
Authorities are now restricting access to the mountain as activity builds beneath the Nakadake crater.
And the timing definitely gets your attention.
Japan has already been dealing with destructive flooding and landslides, and now one of its most closely watched volcanoes is suddenly showing signs of increased unrest.
There is no confirmed connection between any of it.
But Mount Aso just gave Japan something else to watch very closely.
