π Full Moon Energy Amped: What’s Really Going On?
We kicked off the month of May with a full moon in Scorpio – the sign of the alchemist who transforms emotional chaos into superpowers and makes vulnerability look like a power move!
π Starting with some solar drama, A G1 storm courtesy of some spicy solar wind streamed through, while sunspots 4424, 4428, 4429, and a new recruit flexed their growth.
The Schumann vibes are stable – a consistent, steady hum with a few quick pops. However the intensity looks to be on the rise.
We’re basically cosmic powerhouses right now, and the full moon has turned the dial up to maximum volume. Here’s what that might feel like in your body:
The most common symptom you could call ‘the great tired.’ It’s that special brand of exhaustion where even blinking feels like cardio.
π₯The physical fireworks.
Your body might be running hot. And we’re talking volcano-mode intensity, not just night sweats. Your face could be flushed, your skin and lips parched, and your head? Forget a simple headache; this is full migraine territory.
Your neck and shoulders and chest might feel like they’re holding all the tension in the universe – stiff, achy, and absolutely done with everything.
β‘οΈ Weird ‘rewiring’ sensations.
You might feel like someone’s literally redecorating your nervous system at 3 AM – buzzing, electrical/tingly vibes, pressure. It’s like your nerve endings are having a rave. It’s simultaneous chaos and clarity, like your whole system is clearing house and upgrading all at once. Basically, system overload meets spring cleaning.
π€ So why all the feels all at once?
We have been experiencing a big surge of energy. We are simultaneosly releasing and purging, while re-wiring and installing system upgrades. Our bodies are literally multitasking like a boss!
The Reality Check.
Your usual self-care playbook might not be cutting it right now. If you need backup, professional support like reiki, acupuncture, other energy or body work is totally worth exploring and could be exactly what you need.
Professional help isn’t always in the budget though, so here are some financially-friendly alternatives:
π³ DIY grounding: Get your feet, your butt, or your whole body onto grass, soil, or sand. Lean your back up against a tree and imagine your roots shooting deep down into Mother Gaia, and connecting into the core of the earth – the great central sun. All free and so powerful.
π Community vibes: Find your tribe in online groups and forums. This is a perfect place to support each other.
π¬οΈ Breathe through it: There are loads of free guided videos on YouTube. Eg 4-7-8 breathing, box breathing, alternate nostril breathing.
βοΈ Journaling: Brain dump onto paper. Weirdly therapeutic and costs nothing.
πMove it: Dance like nobody’s watching, try soothing somatic movement; yoga till your heart’s content – all free on YouTube. Some streaming platforms also have free trials.
π§ Sound healing vibes: Binaural beats and singing bowl videos galore. Let the internet soothe you.
π Talk to your body: Like you would with your bestie. Have a compassionate conversation with it – costs nothing and works wonders.
π£ DIY massage: Using a ball to apply pressure with a myofascial release massage ball. Applying a steady amount of pressure to a target area or trigger point for 1 to 1Β½ minutes helps to release tension in the fascia. Remember to breathe through it and be gentle!
πͺ· Meditation & visualization: There’s a free guided meditation for literally every mood. Plug in and chill out. If sleep is still eluding you, try yoga nidra – a form of non-sleep deep rest (NSDR.) Itβs better than zero zzz’s right?
π« Herbal tea magic: Chamomile, lemon balm, lavender, passionflower – cheap, tasty and calming. Mix them together to make your own ‘chillax brew.’
The key is consistency rather than cost. Your nervous system doesn’t care if you paid for help, it just wants you to actually do the thing.
Keep doing what grounds you; get outside more – nature’s always got your back. And soak up some sunshine.
π§ Hydration is crucial. Your body’s basically a needy water balloon. Water alone isn’t quite enough. Electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium) are the helpers that actually let water do its job. Without them, water just slides through you like it was never there.
βΉοΈ What electrolytes do: They keep your cells happy, stop muscle cramps, maintain heart rhythm, and basically stop your brain from throwing a tantrum.
π Plain water works daily, but throw in electrolytes when you’re sweating, exercising, or feeling rough. Your body will actually thank you with better energy and fewer headaches. No more being a cranky sluggish mess!
And remember: we’re all wired differently. So some people will be sailing through this, others feel like they’re being reorganised by invisible cosmic contractors. Both are totally normal.
