Earth’s Space Weather continued to calm today.

We had B Class Solar Flares, and only 1 C Class Solar Flare today. NOAA’s expecting the next 3 days will be similar, but 1 of those anticipated incoming Sun Spots is revealing itself today, so this part of the forecast may change in 2-3 days.

It looks like the expected CME arrived around 7.00p CDT this evening. It didn’t have much impact beyond slightly raising Solar Wind Density and stabilizing Solar Wind Speed @ about 400 km/sec. There was no impact on the HP Index. NOAA’s expecting our Geomagnetic will remain calm over the next few days.

Solar Wind Speed stayed in the 400 km/sec range. The CH HSS provided some variability, which stabilized this evening with the CME’s arrival. NOAA’s is expecting Solar Wind Speed to drop a bit more tomorrow, and they’re not expecting the incoming CH HSS to significantly impact Solar Wind Speed in 3 days.

Electron Saturation hovered around its Alert Threshold until this evening. It looks like the CME carried off enough electrons to perhaps keep this measure suppressed tomorrow. NOAA’s expecting 1 more day where we cross Electron Saturation’s Alert Threshold before it drops below that line consistently on 6/18-6/19. Proton Saturation is still steady at Normal levels.
