7/7 Update

The sunspot number is crashing! With the departure of the giga-ARs, all we have left is AR 4482, which thankfully seems to be healthy, and meager AR 4485 which is struggling to survive.
At least we have the Earth-facing coronal hole to keep us awake, otherwise potential upcoming geomagnetic activity would be relying on an uncertain Earth-directed CME from AR 4482 in a few days…
These surges+lulls in sunspot/solar activity will probably stay the norm as we continue our decline into solar minimum.
