8/23 Recap

Today was a fairly calm day. 😊

Solar Wind Speed finally fell below 400 km/sec this evening, and it looks like we’ll have a few days of Solar Wind Speeds in this range before the next CH HSS and HP = 5 (G1) arrive on 8/27.

We did see an increased number of C Class Solar Flares from 3 Incoming Sun Spots, and they were only C Class Solar Flares, but NOAA’s keeping the M Class Solar Flare Watch at 45% due to these 3 Sun Spots.

Electron Saturation’s still hovering around its Alert Threshold, which may be a bit annoying for some people. It likely won’t drop below this level before the next CH HSS arrives. Proton Saturation holding steady at Moderate levels, and we can hope no M Class Solar Flares cause it to go over its Alert Threshold for the next 3 days.
