9/4 recap

Today was fairly calm with Solar Wind Speeds in the 300 km/sec range and a low HP Index. We’ll continue to enjoy these conditions until sometime on 9/7 into 9/8 when a CME and small CH HSS are expected. NOAA’s currently saying we won’t experience a Geomagnetic Storm when those arrive. I expect that forecast will change tomorrow.

Electron Saturation’s still hovering around its Alert Threshold. It’ll likely continue that at least 1 more, possibly two. The incoming CME might drop it below its Alert Threshold.

We’ve got a cluster of 4 tightly spaced Sun Spots incoming. One of them tossed an M Class Solar Flare today. All of them are currently listed as capable of C Class Solar Flares, but they’re already tossing CMEs with those C Class Solar Flares, so it looks like this gang is going to provide some interest over the next 10 days.
