9/12 Recap
![]()
Today was very calm in Solar Flares, the HP Index, and Proton Saturation. Solar Wind Speed doggedly hung out around 400 km/sec and Electron Saturation undulated above and below its Alert Threshold twice over the last 24 hours. While NOAA’s anticipating everything will be calm tomorrow during the day, tomorrow evening a CH HSS is supposed to arrive, and 2 CMEs are due on 9/14. These 3 Solar Activities will keep us jostled for a few days. Most forecasts are indicating we’ll reach into 500 km/sec Solar Winds. NOAA’s not expecting any Geomagnetic Storms, but the UK’s MetOffice is expecting periodic Geomagnetic Storms each of the next 3 days, so we’ll see how that plays out.
.
Solar Flares, and Proton Saturation are expected to stay at comfortable levels. NOAA’s expecting Electron Saturation to stay below its Alert Threshold for 2 days, than rise again on 9/15.
