New coronal hole turning earthward

A long coronal hole measuring over 1 million km in length is stretching from the southeast quadrant all the way up to the northeast. This opening in the Sun’s atmosphere will begin to face our planet later in the upcoming week and should be the source of a high speed solar wind stream past Earth.
